Accessing gmail account through Outlook

• Turn on POP acces in your gmail account .
• Open outlook and select " Tools---> E-mail accounts"
• Select the option "Add a new e-mail account" from the new window that opens up
• Click on "Next " Choose POP3 as the server type and click on "Next"
• Enter your gmail account details in the internet e-mail settings.

1. Put in your full name under option Your Name.
2. Type in your Gmail email address under E-mail Address.
3. Type your full gmail address under User Name.
4. Type your gmail password under the option Password.
5. Type pop.gmail.com under Incoming mail server(pop3).
6. Type smtp.gmail.com under Outgoing mail server (SMTP) .

• Click on More Settings go to the Outgoing server tab make sure My outgoing serevr (SMTP) authentication is checked
• Select the Option Use same setting as my incoming mail server.
• Got to the Advanced tab.
• Make sure This server requires an encrypted connection (SSL) is checked under both incoming server (POP3) and outgoing server (SMTP).
• Type 465 under Outgoing server(SMTP) check if the number under Incoming server (pop3) is changed to 995 automatically .If not then enter 995 manually there.
• Click on OK then click on NEXT and finally click FINISH .
